Friday's Odds & Ends

Hi all! Took a day off yesterday, from work & blogging, and headed over to my best friend's house for a few hours. There's this fun thing we do now where we always seem to bring something over for the other one to try & the hostess also usually has a new drink to try. So, I brought over some Omaha Steak burgers for her to put in her freezer & she had some of these awesome grapefruit margaritas for me. She made them with Stirrings drink mix, which is popular around this way, and tequila & some lime. They were so refreshing. I didn't have my camera on me, a blogging shame, so she used her Iphone. I love the way the drinks match the chairs we were lounging in.

Then, she had me try some of these & I'm so glad because I normally don't stop to check these kinds of mixes out. Too many are loaded with sugar & salt so I don't bother. But I fell in love with these.

They are from Mareblu Naturals. She got 'em at Marshalls but they can be bought online which I am about to do now. I can't tell you how delicious they were, little clusters of pistachio and pumpkin seeds, two of my favorites, with just a touch of sweetness. Check 'em out here if you're interested.

And for my Friday Foto here is my little Batman. To the batmobile let's go!!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Okay, you and your friends have to move away from the Stirrings mixers, slowly! When I was a novice martini maker, I too was blind sided by Stirrings, and their pretty colors and big bottles. But then I discovered all the other real liqueur you can add to make your margaritas or your martinis! Seriously, you need to hire me to host a martini mixer for you and with your food, people will be talking about this mixer for years to come!!!!

Thanks for sharing the snack idea. I love Marshalls, so I will have to keep an eye out for them. Yum, yum.

Cutest Batman ever. The pistachio/pumpkin seeds look great too. Just added you to my blogroll. Looking forward to many more visits. I'm amazed how many featured SITS bloggers don't return visits. They must think they really ARE one hit wonders and everyone will come back regardless. he he. :)
