I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will certainly be cooking a bit but mostly getting ready for Tristan's 5th birthday party next weekend. I'll be done with New Moon tonight. Le Sigh. But I may or may not fight myself tooth & nail (ha ha, I just caught that, no pun was intended) to go to the bookstore to get Eclipse. That's right, I may have to give myself a week's rest so I can prepare for the party because it seems I can't get my head out of Forks. As for this 2nd book, no disappointment here!!!
Sweet Shredded Pork
Put a pork roast in your crock pot. Add 2 cups of salsa, 1 can of coke (not diet) & 1 cup of brown sugar. Cook on low 8-10 hours. Shred with forks in crockpot just before serving & remove any bones. Place some shredded mozzarella on roll, pour some meat on top drizzling a little extra sauce, maybe some more cheese, hmmmm. Too easy!!!!!!

Oh my mouth is WATERING! I think this will be my next new meal to try.
Thanks for stoppiing over from SITS! I will certainly be checking in for more foody ideas soon!
You know my fear of pork yet you insist on shoving it in my face! Arrghhh!
I am sure it tastes lovely though!!
Oh that looks FABBULOUS!!! I love pulled pork sandwiches and MUST make this recipe!
Ok this sounds FAB! The Chicken Florentine & Oriental Slaw were both AMAZING. My family was begging for more! Thanks for the great recipes as usual. Have a wonderful weekend!!
I have almost this exact recipe cooking in my Crock-pot now for tonight's dinner (and tomorrow's lunch).
I have cooked a pork roast a lot of different ways, but never like this! I have got to try this!! It sounds WONDERFUL!!
my hubbie would love this - I hate pork though!!!
YUM YUM! Sounds like a great fall meal too......like the Salsa being a Texas gal! And for the Tieras girl above, I think beef would work!
I am crazy for crock pot recipes...especially in the winter. Printing this one off now.
And you have much better self-control than I could even dream of...I closed New Moon, took a potty break, then stared Eclipse 2 minutes later. FOR REAL!
I SO need to try this. It makes me want to get my butt out to the growers market this week for the pork.
This looks perfect for football season! My husband is such a fan, and he is so thrilled when I make him game-day favorites. This could turn out to be a new favorite!
OOOO too funny...get your head out of FORKS....HEHEHEH! I love pork and I will have to try this one out! HMMM ANYONE want to bet me that STEPH will be buying that books sometime this weekend? WalMart has all the books so UMMM when you are picking up supplies just run over quickly and throw it in the BASKET...TARGET has it TOO!!! hehehe
Yum! We need to try this, because we love making our own pork BBQ (and it's finally that time of year again for me - I just can't do crockpot meals in the summer, even though I know it makes more sense than oven baking, LOL!)
And I'm the same way with books. If I get pulled into a series, I HAVE to know what happens next. Janet Evanovich is killing me with the Plum series. One.Novel.At.A.Time.
Have a great weekend! :-)
Yummy! This one looks great too!
Have a great weekend!
I saw your comment on Jason's page about keeping the naked babies if you win, and I came over to see who is so funny : )! This pork looks scrumptious! I want to make it for supper tomorrow night. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to look at some of your other recipes YUMMMY!
That shredded pork looks mouthwateringly yummy!! Have a great weekend!!
Yum-O! This recipe and your chess squares sound delicious.
So what is your opinion...Twilight or New Moon? I'm gonna go jump in bed and read Eclipse right now:0
