Happy Halloween from My Pumpkins to Yours

This was my 1st time decorating a cake & now I know why. Me & frosting just have a heckuva time. But it was all worth it because this is what Tristan wanted for his school party today. I took the best from 2 recipes here & here & then improvised a bit in order to make the face.

  38. that cake is awesome!! frosting can be tricky! Don't ever use the tub frosting - it is too slick and wet - if you are in a pinch - add powdered sugar to it - or Meringue powder to stiffen it up.

  39. Love the cake and what a great picture! Frame it!

  47. Yeah, I think that scary house was a frat house or something... there were about 8 guys there all dressed up and having a part in the show. A couple of them running around in the cemetary they made, one in a casket, the guy at the door and a few more. It was pretty cool... just maybe not for the little ones.

So... how's the book coming now? I'm still NOT done, LOL.

  50. Your cake turned out cute! I made a pumpkin cake for Carson's class when he was in kindergarten, but our preschool and elementary school don't allow parents to send sweets anymore. Boo! I understand that it can be overdone, but I think it's OK in moderation for a holiday party. Guess I'll peddle my baked goods somewhere else!
