Just came into work for a few hours while we all wait for this hurricane & want to post a few more pictures from the wonderful weekend. I can promise tomorrow that I will have some yummy recipes because I plan on cooking tonight since I'll be home early. So, we will be back to our regularly scheduled food program. I also received my wonderful martini set & took quite a few photos of that last night while I made mojitos.
Another couple pics of Peanut. You can really see how small he is in
the pic above as I am holding the bowl for him to eat out of.

Below is one of my favorite beach bars, the Patio Bar & Grille in
Deerfield Beach, FL. This place just recently experienced a major makeover & it is beautiful. I loved it before when it was just a hole in the wall.

My new profile picture. Very appropo I think. I love the Blue Moon.
The 4 of us: Terry, Me, Tom & Tara. I would have fun with them in a cardboard box.
Me & Terry
Above: One of my all time favorite beach side lunches. Light & delicious & most importantly, leaves lotsa room for the drinks.
Below: I LOVED the way our drinks were served at our late night dinner. Anyone in the Boca area should visit Abe & Louie's Steakhouse. It was outstanding!
The appetizers were to die for. Stone Crab out of the shell served with a mustard sauce, and ahi tuna. We were all in heaven!
It's easy to see why I wasn't so disappointed we didn't make it to Islamorada. It was a weekend of best friends, delicious food, great cocktails (I never even mentioned Tom makes the best cappucinos), the salty air & the beautiful beach. Good times, good times!!!!!
That last picture is making my mouth water. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you had a good time. I love all the pictures. Stay safe!
YUM! That all looks delicious! If you like Blue Moon, you HAVE to try Hoegaarden. By the way, I admire that you're going to try shucking oysters at home, I'm too afraid!
ReplyDeleteI love the new profile picture--ha!! :))
ReplyDeleteThat monkey is the cutest thing...EVER.....
ReplyDeleteDang... you're putting me in the mood for some good Florida-style seafood!! The monkey is ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeletePlease keep us posted on the hurricane.
I think your new profile picture should include a martini shaker (wink wink!). Glad you didn't end up in the storm and although the food looks delicious, I can't eat shellfish so next time can you eat something I am not allergic to?!
ReplyDeleteWhat A FAB Trip! I love it all. It's all right up my alley. Blue Moon, Stone Crab, Shrimp, Oysters and the beach. We have so much in common!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Miss Fay is on her way outta here. No damage. No nothing really. Just some high winds.
Looks like a blast! I paired you up with Pearls and Grace for the bloggy shower!
ReplyDeleteGo to my site and see!
You guys look happy. And maybe a lil drunk.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures. LOOKS LIKE SO MUCH FUN!
ReplyDeleteWhat great pics of your vacation! I can't believe how little Peanut is. I pictured him much bigger. Now I really want one!
ReplyDeleteLooks so fun.........and so delicious.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. I love raw oysters, and The Husband does not like them, so I never get a chance to order them. Actually I love everything in your pictures. Cold beer, waterside dining, and yummy food....... heaven!
ReplyDeleteThat food looks FANTASTIC and sounds like you had a such a great time! And what a cute little monkey!
ReplyDeleteSeriously...you have a monkey?? Where have I been that I do not know this??
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the monkey! SO freakin' cute : ). Is there a story behind him? I have to go pick up Kaishon from school now, but later, when I get home I will peruse the pages behind this post : )! IF I am not too busy making those cookies : ) and that breaded chicken thing-a-ma-jig : )!
