Wine, Dine, Peace of Mind ~ 2009

Happy New Year everyone!

For the past 6 months I have shared less personal pictures & info with my recipe posts because I simply have had less time for posting. I also know we all have a place to go after this one so I've tried to make for brief posts. But I do miss sharing the woman behind the apron & I have to remind myself this is my blog, an expression of me not just eating but living & loving as well.

So let me catch up on what I have been missing & then we'll move on.

It's been a good year. We've.....

Become friends with neighbors...

And closer with existing friends.

Exchanged numerous gifts in the mail with a blogger friend turned real life & forever friend.

Shared with others the joy of a quaint town in which we love.

Did some window shopping.

Watched our newest addition to the family slowly outweigh our most precious member of the family...

And not so patiently waited for these two to simply co-exist.

Visited some really cool restaurants I can cross off my list.

Shared, for the 10th year, the very same birthday with best friend Tammy

Rented a river cabana at an awesome little spot...

Had an amateur but successful & fun photo shoot

And YES....it happens MORE than you think....

Endured many flops in the kitchen, even if they are pretty flops.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!! Being here is always a joy & a big part of my life. Thank you for not only letting me share myself but also letting me in to your life.

  13. Hey there, friend!

    Okay, so really weird here.

I click on your post on my sidebar that says, "Testing, testing" and it tells me that your blog no longer exists! I then click on the Live. Love. Eat. title and it brings me to this post~ EEK!

What to do? What to do? i no of 2 other friends that I follow that the layout of their posts degresses as opposed to progressing in what shows on my sidebar.

That has eventually worked itself out though.

I guess I will ignore your most recent post on my sidebar and just click on your title.

Love your year review! You have lots to be happy about in 2009! Your little guy is so handsomely sweet!

I like that you are going to add some more to this blog about the gurl behind the apron. I LOVE your recipes, but it is fun to learn more about the guru behind them too!

Thanks for keeping up with me over at my spot!

    Happy 2010!

  16. Happy new year! I also struggle with balancing the posts about the woman behind the apron with those about the food.

How is that last picture a flop though? It looks delicious to me. And I have to know where that river cabana is. It looks like heaven.

Oh and you'd be proud of me. Spent the day with my mom in her kitchen making about 12 meals to freeze and save for after our baby boy arrives. We had fun!! And now I'm tired, lol.

  27. Hi there buddy! Happy New Year! What a wonderful year you have had! I know all about finding time to post. Sometimes it can be a burden.
As for you burn, I'm sorry but I had to smile. Don't get me wrong, I felt really, really bad for you. Over the summer I too was drinking pom martinis and was cooking. I went to bend down to get the baking sheet out of the oven and somehow it (baking sheet) hit the top of my arm. Well....I jumped and it hit my arm again!! Now I have 2 scars on the top of my left arm that looks like a big lion scratched me! Oh well.
I hope your having a good New Year so far, and have a great week.
As Always, your food is fantastic!
    XOXO
