Not So Fat Fridays - I Forgot Dessert!!!!

See below for the entree but I also promised dessert, didn't I. So, today I am kicking it off with the easiest, tastiest yet not hip damaging dessert. I served this for my parents when they came over for dinner last weekend.

I don't even have a name for this yet:

Just buy the storebought angel foodcake shells. Use fresh fruit or the frozen mixed berries I used. I defrosted the berries the day of & then tossed them with 1 tsp of sugar & a couple of tblsps of Cointreau, an orange liquer. But this is not necessary. Just nice! Top with fat free cool whip and you're done!

  2. This simple dessert looks so pretty when you plate it like you did. As Jacques Pepin would say on his show Fast Food My Way, "Now, you can charge $8.99 for that dessert." Looks great!!

  4. So simple, yet so beautiful. I love recipes like that. I'd also love the Chicken with asparagus, but my family won't eat asparagus anymore. Everyone complains it makes their pee stink. :-P

  6. Ooh, it was worth the wait! I have some frozen strawberries leftover from our strawberry picking trip that would be good for this. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. :)

Thanks for the reply on the onion. Can you tell I don't cook much?

  12. Holy crap that is beautiful. I so wish that when I put my fork to the screen, it came back with a piece instead of just scratching the screen.

  14. A splash of Cointreau makes most everything better. Thanks for yet another tasty treat. That meal that you served when your parents came over must have been great. You served the artichokes as an appetizer and this as a dessert, right? What was your entree? The chicken that you wrote about below?
